Error 4005 during installation of Autodesk 2023 apps

 During the installation of Autodesk 2023 applications, sometimes the installation aborts with error 4005.

Examples of the error:

Installation failed: AutoCAD 2023

The installation could not be completed

Error 4005

Installation Error: CIVIL 3D 2023

The installation could not be completed

Error 4005

Solution:

• If AdODIS is installed, uninstall it (Run RemoveODIS.exe C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AdODIS\V1 as administrator )
• Download and install the latest version of AdODIS
• Rerun the app installer
